Mayor Bob Blais  with club members at the dedication of our flowering cherry tree, newly planted in May, in Shepard Park
Garden Club members were saddened with the recent passing of Eileen Ruel.  Eileen, a long-time member, was active in almost every facet of our club.  Chair of the Perennial Planters for years, Eileen, an artist herself, planned many artistic, fun projects - flower-pounding, rock/clay pot painting, concrete urns/leaf moldings, and countless others.  The extensive Ruel garden was the site of many open garden celebrations, garden tours, and perennial digging projects to provide plants for out plant sales.  The legacy Eileen leaves behind will live on in our memories and the objects we created with her guidance.

Members enjoyed a warm, sunny day at  Eileen's landscaped gardens - watching the gold fish
and frogs in the water-lily covered pond; and enjoying  beverages and cookies with guests                                                                                                                        and members relaxing day in a beautiful setting.
Many thanks to the Perennial Planters Committee.

July Luncheon at the home of Kim Cavarretta.
It was a wonderful day in July to celebrate together -
Kim, always a gracious hostess, welcomed everyone to relax and visit
on her porch and patio in the lovely landscaped setting of her back yard.
The field of yellow daisies was a perfect
 backdrop for our photos.
