May 19 Perennial Plant Sale

Another successful plant sale this year!
Changing the location of the sale to St. James
Church was a good move - lots of space for all the plants, shade for the volunteers, and easy parking for customers.
Many thanks         .... to Annette and Charlie for co-chairing
.... the volunteers who set up and worked
                               .... the members who donated
their beautiful perennials.                                                                Proceeds will be used to fund

A memorable, entertaining afternoon with guests Sandra Weber and David Hodges as they brought to life the dramatic stories of "Remarkable Adirondack Women".
A wonderful afternoon spent touring the
beautifully landscaped gardens at the historic
Homer mansion on Millionaires Row on Lake
George.  The tour was arranged by Carol
McCarthy and led by Linda Perry, landscape
gardener, and owner of Sweet Pea  Perennial
Gardens. The day ended perfectly with a bag lunch
at Linda's extensive perennial garden shop
Tour of Lavenlair Farm - A perfect day in the Champlain Valley visiting these
extensive lavender fields with an amazing 32 different varieties of lavender.
Owners, David and Jane Allen bought the acreage complete with an 1820 stone
house and other historic buildings.  They have worked, updated, and developed
this wonderful property over the years.
A memorable day, enjoyed by 24 garden club members!
Annual Salad and Dessert Luncheon - This year our formal luncheon was especially memorable.   Ginette Maslanka graciously invited members to celebrate the day at the historic Villa Marie Antionette estate.
 Hostesses outdid themselves with beautiful
place settings and lovely displays of
members' salads and desserts.
Tour of Double H Farm - A memorable opportunity for our members to
visit this Adirondack camp that provides camaraderie and healthy,
outdoor living experiences for children
with life-threatening illnesses.
District IV Fall Luncheon - an enjoyable day, well-attended by all District IV clubs.  Our beautiful basket, created by Kathy Schonewolf and Nancy Girard - won by our own lucky member, Joan Jenkin!!
